DESCRIPTION:Wednesday’s speaker will be Ben Terwilleger\, Executive Director of the Eudora Community Museum. Within weeks of the announcement of the opening of the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in 1941 thousands of people loaded their cars and drove to DeSoto and Eudora. Eventually the plant hired 12\,000 employees. Ben is going to share the history of how this plant impacted Eudora and its environs\, and perhaps compare it to the new Panasonic plant that will soon occupy the old Sunflower grounds.
