Patti Mellard, the founder and CEO of Key Staffing and Premier Employment Solutions, will join us for a discussion. Patti has served on boards with organizations to include the Topeka Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Topeka and more.
Araceli Masterson, as Associate Professor in the University of Kansas' Department of American Studies, will join us today to discuss LaYarda, the Sante Fe housing complex for railroad workers.
Steve Lane and Jim Evers will present an update on the Lawrence Kids Calendar.
Dr. Frank Arpan, the newest President of Haskell Indian Nations University, will be joining us this week. Dr. Arpan is a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and joined Haskell University in May, 2022. Dr. Arpan previously held a position as the Dean of Academics at Sisseton Wahpeton College in South Dakota.
We're honored to be joined by Ryan Guirlinger, Ukraine Political Unit Chief with the Office of Eastern European Affairs (EUR/EE) at the U.S. Department of State, for today's meeting. Ryan speaks four languages (Arabic, French, Spanish and Turkish), holds a Master's Degree from Syracuse University and has served the Foreign Service since September, 2008.

Christy Miller joins us this week to share information on the Americana Music Academy where she serves as Executive Director. The Academy was founded in 2001 by Thom Alexander to allow for individuals interested in music to gather. Dr. Miller also holds a doctorate degree in Musicology from the University of Kansas.
