Area high school students worked on a beautification effort as a part of the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy. The project was done at the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum.
Students in the academy, who are mainly from northeast Kansas, will spent their week at the academy working on various projects around Lawrence and cultivating leadership skills.
Their work at the Arboretum culminated in the dedication of a new sign paid for by the local Lawrence Rotary Clubs (including Lawrence Central Rotary) in honor of the students’ work.
