Weekly Meeting

Patti Mellard, the founder and CEO of Key Staffing and Premier Employment Solutions, will join us for a discussion. Patti has served on boards with organizations to include the Topeka Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Topeka and more.    

Araceli Masterson, as Associate Professor in the University of Kansas' Department of American Studies, will join us today to discuss LaYarda, the Sante Fe housing complex for railroad workers.

Steve Lane and Jim Evers will present an update on the Lawrence Kids Calendar.

Dr. Frank Arpan, the newest President of Haskell Indian Nations University, will be joining us this week. Dr. Arpan is a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe and joined Haskell University in May, 2022. Dr. Arpan previously held a position as the Dean of Academics at Sisseton Wahpeton College in South Dakota.

Maddie Lockett, the Lawrence Humane Society's social worker, will give an overview on an extremely important part of the Lawrence and Douglas County community. You won't want to miss the talk, fur-real...!

Jack Altman will join us and share information about Retirement Bootcamp hosted by the Lawrence Public Library. Christy Miller joins us this week to share information on the Americana Music Academy where she serves as Executive Director. The Academy was founded in 2001 by Thom Alexander to allow for individuals interested in music to gather. Dr. Miller also holds a doctorate degree in Musicology from the University of Kansas.

Melissa will share memories of her time in Germany and the many Rotary connections she has made while there!

Join us as Darcy Boyle, the media and communications director at Prosoco, presents about her work. Prosoco was founded in 1939 and develops a variety of products for the construction industry which include stains for concrete floors, moisture resistive barriers for buildings and more.

Beth McKenzie, the Development Director for the Audio-Reader Network, will share information about her important career. Beth has been with Audio-Reader since 2016 and has experience with grant writing, fundraising and more.
